Whoa, where have I BEEN?!
Oh yeah, I should tell you....even though no one really reads this blog.

1. My summer job ended on July 20th.
2. I went paintballing on July 21st.
3. I left for Disneyland and LA on July 22nd.
4. I was at Disneyland on the 23rd.
5. I attended the Ellegarden Concert on July 24th.
6. I returned back to my city early morning on July 26th, and stayed at my friend's house for a party.
7. I saw The Simpson's Movie today.

Yeah, just a little busy...
I know that 真夏の条件 (Midsummer Conditions) has been out since the 18th, but it's been a busy summer so far.

And I will not upload it here.
*tries to listen for screams of agony but hears only crickets*

Okay, I'll explain myself.
Since I'm finally having a real summer, I've finally gotten to putting my plans for my BBB fansite onto my computer. Not up on the website YET, but at least on a saved document. I'm still trying to figure out the easiest way to make the website look the way I want it to, and it's taking a while. I've still got SOME work to do (volunteer work; I've been doing it for 5 years and there's no way I'm quitting it) so weekends are out of the question.



But this means that in the next week, I'll put up a link to my fansite.
And it will be adequately accessible.

Midsummer Conditions PV

Hello everyone! I know I'm late uploading this (it's been up on jpopsuki for a while) but I'll upload it for the sake of my sanity.

After listening to the live version of 真夏の条件 for weeks on end, I began to dislike the song. Madness, I know! But today I checked jpopsuki and found that someone uploaded the PV, so I watched it.

Pure....joy.

+ This video matches the feel of the song in every way possible. I thought their other PVs were good until I saw this one. I love how it has a color scheme and they are in the desert. There is also an absurd amount of Yusuke closeups to the points where I started screaming with joy. And of course, for all the Sekine Shiori fans (which I believe are all the guy fans of BBB) there seem to be some shots of her. I'm pretty sure it's her because the girl is wearing the same dress. There are short of just her skirt, then her THIGHS, then her chest. Hmm. Fan service much? (God, I felt like a pervert taking those screenshots. But if you don't watch it carefully, those clips go by really quickly.)

Hands down, I think it is one of the best BBB PVs yet.

I know I've been gone for a while (a LONG while) and I realized that my job isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Now the paycheck seems a little small for all the work I do. Because of that work I come home pretty tired and I STILL haven't updated my website on freewebs. I hope I can start maybe later tonight (as it being that I just woke up from a 2 hour nap) so...yeah. Go coding.

The good thing is that in the end my paycheck goes STRAIGHT to buying BBB-related goods...(Can't wait until July 20th, two days after the release of Manatsu no Jouken to just ORDER THEIR STUFF LIKE CRAZY.)

I shall go back to squealing over Yusuke (and his strange haircut that seems to be morphing into a Bruce Lee style) and also listen to the new Plastic Tree album. Yay for summer releases!

BTW, I fixed my site. The links were a little messed up. The BBB fansite didn't die, it was just renamed so the linking screwed up. But there's still no content.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I finally tackled two more SAT II's, and I'm actually supposed to be starting finals today. (Why is this school district so slow? Everyone else finished school already.) But anyway, thanks to paintbrushさん, who IMed me when I had a less-than-appealing away message, I downloaded the LIVE BY THE C encore!



It's not the entire video (because it's 35 minutes long), but I cut out...Manatsu no Jouken, the single that will be released in the summer!*insert fangirl moment*
According to CDJapan, the release date is around July 18, which is just the right time because that's right before I get my paycheck.

*evil laughter*

I ripped the performance from the entire video and also ripped an mp3 for those who, like me, want to carry it around and listen to it. I also kind of want to rip outthe little introduction of the band that Koide does, but I have to get to school soon.

+ I left in Koide introducing the song because he speaks really weird at lives. At some point he started sounding like an American speaking Japanese. Basically he tells the audience: "We're releasing a single after Dramatic. We don't know the release date, but the song is called MANATASU NO JOUKEN." Flashing lights! The opening is really nostalgic, but I can't quite pinpoint what it reminds me of. It feels like an insert song for a mystery-thriller show! I forgive Koide for messing up on parts because this is the 4 encore they did that night. Poor thing.

I don't think I'll ever get to uploading the abingdon boys school stuff until I start working on my site again. But the thing is, I'm getting the THIRD job over the summer, so I might be working from 9 am to 10 pm until the end of July....uhh...

ドラマチック Live + BBVARIETY 4

I just got back from my trip. Taking care of the kids was more exhausting than the 2 hour hike. Sure, they whined about how tired they were after taking the hike, but I heard the boys were up until 12 am screaming and running around and going crazy. Thank goodness I'm not a boy. I slept in the girls' dorm and they were quiet at around 11, but the bed was so uncomfortable that I barely slept. Then I spent all morning rolling up a record amount of sleeping bags, aaargh. (My arms!) If you can't tell, I'm very grumpy.

Meanwhile, BBB continues to promote their song by performing it live on Music Japan. I cut out their little live and uploaded it. I think that if I still have energy tonight that I'll upload abingdon boys school's performance too. Maybe their PV too, if I have energy tomorrow night.

+ The clip starts out with an introduction of the band. The translation is basically as follows: "3 guys and 1 girl make up Base Ball Bear. They are all alumni from the same high school. They formed together for a cultural festival." (My translation sounds so boring...) Then the band introduces themselves, and Koide says that the song has a "dramatic" feeling (hence, the name), and asks everyone to listen to it. Koide sucks at the beginning but it gets better toward the end. I love how the camera looks at each member. Whenever it focuses on Horinouchi, it's shaking, so the its kind of intense at that point. The way Koide says "atsuku narebaii" is hard to describe. I would probably call it "omgwowahhh". *fangirls* There isn't much lost in quality because I found another program, but you still notice it in most parts. It might be just me, but it lags a little.
(Notice Horinouchi is holding up his hand behind Shiori. He wiggles it when everyone talks, lol.)

He's so psycho. I love him in a suit. He looks good in a suit. Horinouchi may not be as attractive as Koide, but he's more hyper. I love how they make him go into a bar when he really acts like a little kid. (I mean, hello, he plays DARTS and everytime he throws one, he says "Base....Ball...BEAR!") He also kept questioning the bartender if he knew about BBB. And the best thing ever:

He ordered strawberry milk at the bar.

I would love to have Horinouchi as my big brother. He's so insanely childlike. If he really were my big brother, he'd probably bring me to an amusement park and we'd ride roller coasters all day long. =]

NEXT POST will not be related to BBB. Why? Because the title of this blog is MUSIC PARADISE, not just BASE BALL BEAR PARADISE. I'll probably upload a bunch of abingdon boys school stuff.

+ I've said what I need to say about this, right? The lyrics are in my previous entry. I will revise the lyrics as soon as I can, because I can now see the errors I made
2. 透明２６時 (Transparent 26 o'clock)
+ I take back what I said about this song being so-so. It's fantastic, and Koide's voice is so supremely sexy in this song. I cannot handle this.
3. 夕方ジェネレーション[新しい夕方ver.] (Evening Generation, new Evening version; also a play on "You've got a Generation")
+ I'm pretty sure they've messed with this song the most, but I'm not sure right now. I think this version is twenty times better than the previous mixes, and that's because Koide's voice is SO CLEAR AND SEXY AND RIGHT THERE. (Excuse the fangasming.) But seriously, he sounds amazing, and the fun (you gotta) in the background made me laugh. That's definitely not Koide, but seriously....it's good. The instrumentals got a lot better, and sound clearer. Going major is the best thing to happen to BBB and to me, seriously.

Okay, I'm going to go back in a corner, do my PreCal take-home test, and cry because I don't have the single. Yeah...okay....I really need it to be July 20th already so I can get my paycheck.

Something bad happened, and something good happened.
Well, I took my APUSH test today. Best 5 hours a person can spend in a high school gym, yessiree.
But alas! I turned on my Bittorrent after a week of no activity and SOMEBODY SEEDED THE GIRLFRIEND PV. (Thank you, person in Canada, whoever you are.)

+ This was the second Base Ball Bear PV I ever watched. The cinematography is just...amazing. I want to film something like this. I hope I can understand the lyrics soon. I plan to translate it for my BBB fansite (not yet completed) as soon as my wonderful friend Rick uses his mighty credit card to purchase a couple of CDs and magazines for me. I can't pick up packages at home so I'm leaving it up to him. I won't get any of that stuff until mis summer though....gah...ANYWAY. Back the PV. There are some very nice Koide closeups (as always) and nice Shiori ones. Horinouchi's glasses...I want them. I don't want to take a screencap of Yuasa...his hair is long in this one, it's scary. I'm scared.

+ I've said all I need to say. Oh wait. No I haven't. The song is absolutely amazing after I've listened to it 145 times in a row and memorized it. The PV has a very surreal feel to it, doesn't it? The colors are a lot brighter compared to the other PVs (no duh, the computerized base ball field)....Okay, I'm done.

I'm thinking of ripping out the opening sequence from Ookiku Furikabutte, but I dunno. I'm too tired. I have one more AP to go.

Fansite?

Yes yes yes! I will be making a fansite for Base Ball Bear. I don't see any english ones so I totally call dibs. I've made the layout and everything. Please look forward to seeing it. I won't give the link yet because it's so incomplete. I can't make all the codes and links yet because I have things to study for, but in a frenzy tonight, I made several layouts in one sitting. =_=''

Yes, this is a post about the PV.

But it's low quality because I ripped it off the site; sadly, I am not in Japan so I can't rip the PV off the TV in high quality. I so would if I could :D But alas, no.

+ Isn't the cover adorable? I love the little character they use now. The song, as I said, is in the worst quality you could ever get (it warbles a little, and the intro sounds are louder than the song itself) but hey, it's the song. Enjoy. I love the lines

Now, about the new single. I listened to the samples for the other songs and this is what I have to say:
1. ドラマシック - I think it's amazing, of course. Not quite as remarkable as Electric Summer or Stand By Me, which were REALLY amazing, but it's still good. It's something that you'll listen to every once in a while and sing to. (Of course, I'm on a mission to memorize it soon, but with APs, I doubt I'll translate it until the end of May.) The one good thing that Sekine-fans might be glad about is the prominent sound of the bass at the beginning and pretty much throughout the song. Lately the bass has been overpowered by the guitar, but now...yes...it's so good...yay for bass!
2. Ican'treadthekanjithereforeIfailatlife (something 明２６時) - It's a slow song. I tend to not like BBB's slow songs as much (I don't really listen to Girl Of Arms for that reason) but it's okay. I cannot say anything really bad about BBB songs. I'm so damned biased...
3. 夕方ジェネレーション[新しい夕方ver.] - The clip doesn't really indicate much about the song, but Koide sounds a lot more mature compared to the original version. Oh, secret links. Hint...hint....


And I'll have the scans up sometime tomorrow. It's not complete, my friend forgot to scan the pages where they are all jumping (except for Koide).
I said I would sleep at 11:30 but then I found the PV, darn! Oh well.
And Yuasa's birthday passed on April 16 =_='' I'm a bad child for not knowing that.
He's 23, he says so on BBB's Base Ball Variety, 3 episode.

New Base Ball Bear Variety

I should actually be doing homework, considering that I stayed at a concert on a Monday night until 11:00 pm. I'm posting this at 3:20 am...uh oh, bad sign. I haven't finished any homework yet. I'm a horrible student.New Base Ball Bear Variety up, I couldn't resist uploading it. No screencaps, but it's the funniest one yet. I laughed as I outlined my chapters. I plan to put up screencaps when I get back from school. :D

It's called the miracle of getting 6 hours of sleep instead of 2 hours. Actually, I'm more tired than before, but whatever. I'm going to be early regardless of homework.

...Recording online streams is a pain in the freaking ass. I cannot stand the programs. I finally found a good one but it only lasts 30 days.

I know that I'm very obsessed with Base Ball Bear to the point of death, but right now I'm really excited because I'm going to my first live concert on April 30th! I'm running on some sort of sugar/emotional high, so I'm staying up and posting stuff. I suppose this is old stuff, but I don't think I posted it here, just uploaded it to MediaFire and never really shared it anywhere. I have older PVs (not the best quality, but whatever) that I'll upload the next time I have another one of these moments of ecstasy. REGINA SPEKTOR ON APRIL 30th IN SAN FRANCISCO AT THE WARFIELD. PLEASE TELL ME I'M NOT DREAMING. :D I've got my tickets! I wonder how my elation regarding Regina Spektor is related to my Base Ball Bear post, but oh well. Don't question my actions. I also need to organize the tags for my posts since they stopped making sense. Hmm. And the title of this post has nothing to do with neither Regina nor BBB; the only thing I can say is TROGDOR!


...This is probably the biggest post I'll ever do; it's two PVs, one live performance, and an entire album. *sweatdrop* Maybe one day I'll outdo this post, but I doubt I'll ever be on an emotional high of this extent, unless I actually get concert tickets for BBB, in which case I might...just...die of pure bliss.
Oh, and as for where I get my stuff...Well, I download it from jpopsuki. They are from various sources (I'm too tired to check who uploaded them), but a lot of the torrents are dead now, so I've been uploading them as direct downloads lately. It's hard to get unless you were actually one of the first to get it when it came out. I'm still trying to get their GIRLFRIEND PV, and I doubt I'll ever get it. Nobody has seeded that torrent since it came out more than a year ago...I've spent the last year trying to download it (even back when I still had dial-up...)

+ Can I just say...This is the best PV ever. (Look at their poses! It never fails to make me fangirl; and yes, I use the word FANGIRL as a verb.) I abused my iPod by listening to this song countless times when it came out. At that time I couldn't rip the mp3 out of the PV yet, so before the single came out, I watched the PV too many times. Some people say it's kind of weird (and the meaning of the gorilla is still a mystery to me), but you've got to admit...the whole thing is awesome beyond words. Plus you get to see the Yuasa-spaz dance during the guitar solo! Download the MP3 at the end of this post.

+ If you've seen earlier Base Ball PVs that precede this one, you should notice that the opening scenes are clips of the settings of the earlier PVs. I love that bit. Although I love the song, the opening, the camera angles, and the overall energy of the video itself, I feel like it lacked anything that would make it stand out the way STAND BY ME did. Despite that, it's still beautiful to watch and listen to. The mp3 is at the end of the post.

+ Oh oh oh! SPARKLY! This has the lyrics right on the performance...I had copied it down somewhere, so I'll post the lyrics to it next time...whenever that is...ahem. Anyway, this clip was from MELODIX, one of the many Japanese music shows. I have the entire episode, which features a bunch of other artists playing with the Wii, doing karaoke, playing basketball, and other fun stuff, but the file is too big for MediaFire, so I'm uploading only the part that featured Base Ball Bear (of course). Sadly, it was ONLY a live performance; no interviews or fun activities with the hosts. The beginning comments are just poking fun at the name of the band. One thing about the live performance is that they left out that special effect done right before the guitar solo, which is the the echoing and speeding up of Koide's voice. But they didn't leave out the clapping part! Just clap along! ;]

+ There is an interesting story behind the symbol on the cover. I might have mentioned this before (probably a lot), but the symbol had been used on all of BBB's releases prior to their major debut (except for YUUGATA GENERATION and B BEGINNING), and they has discontinued its use after the release of STAND BY ME. The triangle with the zig-zag through represents TOKYO TOWER. The dicontinuation of the symbol represents the change in the band; I'm still researching why Tokyo Tower is so significant to the band. I have a suspicion that they decided to become a band there (but this is just a guess, okay?) or it's just something that they all like. Similarly, the band is called BASE BALL BEAR because the band members all liked a song by a certain singer (uhh, I don't remember her name, but I know it was a girl) that had the word BASE BALL in it, and the word BEAR is just a random choice by the members. If you download only a few songs out of this album, go to MATSURI NO ATO, STAND BY ME, and ELECTRIC SUMMER, which are probably some of their more well known songs. The album had been made with the concept of "DEATH AND LOVE" (hence, the title of one of the songs). I'm going to put up the scans of the article where they discuss this in the near future. I actually own the magazine, but my friend bought a copy also at a cheaper price, so another friend will abuse that copy and scan it while I keep mine in mint condition. Whoa. I typed too much.


And with that, I end my spazzing post! I should do homework now. I bet prom ended by now. The end. Next update shall be when I feel like it. There's no telling when I'll go on again. Who cares if I have that stupid standardized testing all next week? :D

抱きしめたい Lyrics, ELECTRIC SUMMER live!

Hey! I've been really wrapped up with school, but I noticed that I should probably put up lyrics, so yeah.
Warning: These are not completely translated, there are still some questionable parts. I made notes in those areas. >_> This feels like a horrible assignment from my class or something.



Before you read the lyrics, maybe you might want to download the live of ELECTRIC SUMMER. This was the ROCK IN JAPAN performance Base Ball Bear did...it's so awesome.

This is the romanization by hock (with a few revision by me), and it's surprisingly accurate for a beginner in Japanese. A lot better than anything I could do when I was starting out.

And here's the translation I made! Don't trust it, I've only been studying Japanese for 3 years, but it's pretty close to the actual meaning. I hope. Jeez, Koide is so sexual...Anyway, I even used the lyrics in my xanga layout. =]

I'm actually late for something, so I'll post this in a rush.
(So today is the release of 抱きしめたい...I didn't download it or buy it.
So nothing yet.So I uploaded the single, woot! Thank you jpopsuki for being revived. Schoolwork piled up for the first half of vacation so I must attend to it now.)

>I honestly don't like the opening for the new version as much as the old one, but overall the song is pretty good.

Koide challenges Sekine-san to a game. :P
I think he was saying that "Oh, this isn't really a 'challenge', and I played arcade games last time, so you need to do a game too."


Rules of the game, blah blah blah. Shiori looks like she just wants to eat her two plates of sweets.


Aaand she does the little game. It's one of those games where you try to put in as many swords in the side of the barrel without having the head pop out.

Later on...Hahaha, Koide is eating swetes and Shiori is like a dog or something, opening her mouth begging for some. He's taunting her...

Then for the goodbye, Koide-san says "Adios!"
Horinouchi got mad for a second and said, "Hey, wait a minute!"
(Because if you know the band, it's Horinouchi's thing to say "Adios, amigos!" He even has a little comic that they put in the pamphlets or score books, I don't remember which. I'll upload them one day.)

All the members of the band say that Shiori is like a female old man (in reference to the tour pamphlet), but when it comes to sweets she really is a girl.

I wonder if it was delicious...?

Next Update: I'll probably transliterate/translate 抱きしめたい, and I already have the first part down, but I doubt I'll get to it. Expect nothing from me.
