Alas....My Base Ball Bear fansite.
Sitting here in front of my computer at 1 in the morning feel so right.

Unfortunately, I'm sick of keeping the site away from people; it needs to be loved.
It lacks a lot of content (you can see that the gallery is obviously EMPTY except for one picture; I was testing out lytebox, and it works fine now), but there's stuff in there.

So I present to you....

Some people like paintbrush-san have already seen it. It's not impressive. I DARE you to click the links. There are still major improvements that need to be done to it, but now that I actually spent time working on it today (3 hours!) I know what to do the next time I jump onto my computer...which will be Friday night....tonight.
Sorry, I'm tired.

Since most of the music I've been putting up here is BBB, doesn't that mean this blog won't die?
Actually...I'm seriously killing this blog.

I don't like the layout, and I don't feel like learning how to make my own layout for this. I'd rather stick to freewebs because I can just put my own code instead of learning how to get around things. It was hard enough for me to deal with Xanga.
And besides, I noticed that in the sea of mp3 rotation blogs, mine isn't exactly that well visited. I'd rather slap the rest of my music on the other side of my freewebs.

So by the time anybody reads this, I will hopefully have my entire site up.

Whoa, where have I BEEN?!
Oh yeah, I should tell you....even though no one really reads this blog.

1. My summer job ended on July 20th.
2. I went paintballing on July 21st.
3. I left for Disneyland and LA on July 22nd.
4. I was at Disneyland on the 23rd.
5. I attended the Ellegarden Concert on July 24th.
6. I returned back to my city early morning on July 26th, and stayed at my friend's house for a party.
7. I saw The Simpson's Movie today.

Yeah, just a little busy...
I know that 真夏の条件 (Midsummer Conditions) has been out since the 18th, but it's been a busy summer so far.

And I will not upload it here.
*tries to listen for screams of agony but hears only crickets*

Okay, I'll explain myself.
Since I'm finally having a real summer, I've finally gotten to putting my plans for my BBB fansite onto my computer. Not up on the website YET, but at least on a saved document. I'm still trying to figure out the easiest way to make the website look the way I want it to, and it's taking a while. I've still got SOME work to do (volunteer work; I've been doing it for 5 years and there's no way I'm quitting it) so weekends are out of the question.

But this means that in the next week, I'll put up a link to my fansite.
And it will be adequately accessible.

Hello everyone! I know I'm late uploading this (it's been up on jpopsuki for a while) but I'll upload it for the sake of my sanity.

After listening to the live version of 真夏の条件 for weeks on end, I began to dislike the song. Madness, I know! But today I checked jpopsuki and found that someone uploaded the PV, so I watched it.

Pure....joy.

Did anyone notice how AWESOME the PV is?

+ This video matches the feel of the song in every way possible. I thought their other PVs were good until I saw this one. I love how it has a color scheme and they are in the desert. There is also an absurd amount of Yusuke closeups to the points where I started screaming with joy. And of course, for all the Sekine Shiori fans (which I believe are all the guy fans of BBB) there seem to be some shots of her. I'm pretty sure it's her because the girl is wearing the same dress. There are short of just her skirt, then her THIGHS, then her chest. Hmm. Fan service much? (God, I felt like a pervert taking those screenshots. But if you don't watch it carefully, those clips go by really quickly.)

Hands down, I think it is one of the best BBB PVs yet.

I know I've been gone for a while (a LONG while) and I realized that my job isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Now the paycheck seems a little small for all the work I do. Because of that work I come home pretty tired and I STILL haven't updated my website on freewebs. I hope I can start maybe later tonight (as it being that I just woke up from a 2 hour nap) so...yeah. Go coding.

The good thing is that in the end my paycheck goes STRAIGHT to buying BBB-related goods...(Can't wait until July 20th, two days after the release of Manatsu no Jouken to just ORDER THEIR STUFF LIKE CRAZY.)

I shall go back to squealing over Yusuke (and his strange haircut that seems to be morphing into a Bruce Lee style) and also listen to the new Plastic Tree album. Yay for summer releases!

BTW, I fixed my site. The links were a little messed up. The BBB fansite didn't die, it was just renamed so the linking screwed up. But there's still no content.

School ended yesterday, but because I've been busy with preparation for my summer job and, um, other things (Maple Story), I never got to coding my website.

But honestly, I'm going to work on it tonight. As for the random pictures of BBB requested, those will be on my other website if I can manage to code everything the way I want to.

On an unrelated note,...
If you didn't know, I'm not only a huge BBB fan, I'm a HUGE J-drama fan. I download tons of series like crazy and spend late nights watching the shows, sometimes even without subtitles. (It's good practice for my classes at school.)
Of course, I read manga too. So I really love it when a manga series gets turned into a drama. Do you have any idea what series I'm talking about?

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I finally tackled two more SAT II's, and I'm actually supposed to be starting finals today. (Why is this school district so slow? Everyone else finished school already.) But anyway, thanks to paintbrushさん, who IMed me when I had a less-than-appealing away message, I downloaded the LIVE BY THE C encore!

It's not the entire video (because it's 35 minutes long), but I cut out...Manatsu no Jouken, the single that will be released in the summer!*insert fangirl moment*
According to CDJapan, the release date is around July 18, which is just the right time because that's right before I get my paycheck.

*evil laughter*

I ripped ~~the performance from the entire video and also ripped~~ an mp3 for those who, like me, want to carry it around and listen to it. I also kind of want to rip outthe little introduction of the band that Koide does, but I have to get to school soon.

+ I left in Koide introducing the song because he speaks really weird at lives. At some point he started sounding like an American speaking Japanese. Basically he tells the audience: "We're releasing a single after Dramatic. We don't know the release date, but the song is called MANATASU NO JOUKEN." Flashing lights! The opening is really nostalgic, but I can't quite pinpoint what it reminds me of. It feels like an insert song for a mystery-thriller show! I forgive Koide for messing up on parts because this is the 4 encore they did that night. Poor thing.

+ Hmmm. Plastic Tree has been doing a lot of ballads lately, haven't they? SPICA is an older single; their more recent one is Makka no Ito. The lyrics are really romantic... the title is actually the name of a real star. It's nice to see the band in normal clothes. I'm not a big fan of Ryuutaro in visual kei clothes because he looks a lot better just wearing a suit and no makeup. The best thing about this video is the black and white scheme; Straightener also did a video in black and white, and it gives it a film noir feeling, doesn't it? The one thing that always shows up in Pura's videos is the microphone. I really love that microphone...

+ Th is is an amazing, continuous PV. No cuts, no interruptions. Some people thinks it's boring, but in my opinion, it's a moving video that has the feel of the song. After all, the song is about longing and regret. My idea of life and the rhythm of the song really match the effects. However, I think the video is too dark overall. (It might just be the version I got from Veoh though...) I also have a special on the making of the PV with subtitles, but that's for another day.

+ This was the first time I ever heard of Maximum the Hormone. Yeah, I knew about them before Death Note, sheesh. A lot of people know them because of 絶望ビリ and WHAT'S UP PEOPLE?...But there are a lot of other songs they have that are a lot better. Anyway, about this PV. It's funny and crazy. I laughed at the nerdy gangster guy because he's just too cool. The contrast between the pop part of the song and the screamo is nicely shown with the party and behind the scenes with the band singing in the dark with dark-skinned dancers. I really love this video and I'm glad I can share it.

Did anyone notice that MediaFire changed it's layout? Very impressive.

I just got back from my trip. Taking care of the kids was more exhausting than the 2 hour hike. Sure, they whined about how tired they were after taking the hike, but I heard the boys were up until 12 am screaming and running around and going crazy. Thank goodness I'm not a boy. I slept in the girls' dorm and they were quiet at around 11, but the bed was so uncomfortable that I barely slept. Then I spent all morning rolling up a record amount of sleeping bags, aaargh. (My arms!) If you can't tell, I'm very grumpy.

Meanwhile, BBB continues to promote their song by performing it live on Music Japan. I cut out their little live and uploaded it. I think that if I still have energy tonight that I'll upload abingdon boys school's performance too. Maybe their PV too, if I have energy tomorrow night.

+ The clip starts out with an introduction of the band. The translation is basically as follows: "3 guys and 1 girl make up Base Ball Bear. They are all alumni from the same high school. They formed together for a cultural festival." (My translation sounds so boring...) Then the band introduces themselves, and Koide says that the song has a "dramatic" feeling (hence, the name), and asks everyone to listen to it. Koide sucks at the beginning but it gets better toward the end. I love how the camera looks at each member. Whenever it focuses on Horinouchi, it's shaking, so the its kind of intense at that point. The way Koide says "atsuku narebaii" is hard to describe. I would probably call it "omgwowahhh". *fangirls* There isn't much lost in quality because I found another program, but you still notice it in most parts. It might be just me, but it lags a little.
(Notice Horinouchi is holding up his hand behind Shiori. He wiggles it when everyone talks, lol.)

He's so psycho. I love him in a suit. He looks good in a suit. Horinouchi may not be as attractive as Koide, but he's more hyper. I love how they make him go into a bar when he really acts like a little kid. (I mean, hello, he plays DARTS and everytime he throws one, he says "Base....Ball...BEAR!") He also kept questioning the bartender if he knew about BBB. And the best thing ever:

He ordered strawberry milk at the bar.

I would love to have Horinouchi as my big brother. He's so insanely childlike. If he really were my big brother, he'd probably bring me to an amusement park and we'd ride roller coasters all day long. =]

*coughs* Anyway, since the official lyrics came out for ドラマチック, I'm gonna REALLY translate it. Well, I did already. I just didn't go online and post it up, sorry. It makes a lot more sense now that there aren't words that my brain makes up when I hear Koide's funny Engrish or him fading "aru" in the the music really softly.
Onward with the lyrics! Fangasm, go! Gosh, that'd be a great pokemon.
Don't trust my translations at the end, I was going crazy because I brought up my GPA again. All my hard work (sleeping in class, sleeping on my homework, sleeping on the bus) finally paid off!

+ I didn't get the one with the translation because those who translated the song DID IT BADLY. OH SO BADLY. ~~And excuse the way I cut the file, you see clips from one part of the opening game they show at first and at the end it's the title screen. It's a trial application, what can I say?~~I found a better application and cut it exactly. Yay! I think it's a good anime, but the main character (Mihashi) seems a bit dull so far. I'm sure he'll develop into a confident person, but for now he's jittery, nervous, and cries a whole lot. The better character is Abe, the catcher. He's cute and he knows what he's doing. Yes, I am watching the anime. It's not just because BBB sang the OP...I mean....yeah, that's the only reason I wanted to watch it. BUT IT'S A GOOD ANIME! XD Oh, there's a little loss of quality in the video, but that's because I had to split it twice to get the actual episode out...so it was compressed three times. Of course it lost quality.

I got a weird idea in my head to fansub the opening and all Base Ball Bear PVs. I'm learning how to hardsub, so maybe I will. It'll be hard because I'm very impatient but oh well. Oh, and it'll all be done in the summer. I can't afford to do it now, no WAY.

Please excuse any weird comments I've made in the past few days, I blame APs. I probably won't get up my fansite as soon as I want to because AP teachers, now with no purpose, have decided to smack projects onto their students. Actually, the release date is MAY 16, but because the earth is round, Japan has already started May 16, which means that we here in America (or at least me) gets a May 16 release on May 15.

+ I take back what I said about this song being so-so. It's fantastic, and Koide's voice is so supremely sexy in this song. I cannot handle this.
3. 夕方ジェネレーション[新しい夕方ver.] (Evening Generation, new Evening version; also a play on "You've got a Generation")
+ I'm pretty sure they've messed with this song the most, but I'm not sure right now. I think this version is twenty times better than the previous mixes, and that's because Koide's voice is SO CLEAR AND SEXY AND RIGHT THERE. (Excuse the fangasming.) But seriously, he sounds amazing, and the fun (you gotta) in the background made me laugh. That's definitely not Koide, but seriously....it's good. The instrumentals got a lot better, and sound clearer. Going major is the best thing to happen to BBB and to me, seriously.

Okay, I'm going to go back in a corner, do my PreCal take-home test, and cry because I don't have the single. Yeah...okay....I really need it to be July 20th already so I can get my paycheck.

Something bad happened, and something good happened.
Well, I took my APUSH test today. Best 5 hours a person can spend in a high school gym, yessiree.
But alas! I turned on my Bittorrent after a week of no activity and SOMEBODY SEEDED THE GIRLFRIEND PV. (Thank you, person in Canada, whoever you are.)
So here I am celebrating by uploading it. I will also upload the (high quality) PV for Dramatic and the PV rip. (Less than a week until the single is out!)

+ This was the second Base Ball Bear PV I ever watched. The cinematography is just...amazing. I want to film something like this. I hope I can understand the lyrics soon. I plan to translate it for my BBB fansite (not yet completed) as soon as my wonderful friend Rick uses his mighty credit card to purchase a couple of CDs and magazines for me. I can't pick up packages at home so I'm leaving it up to him. I won't get any of that stuff until mis summer though....gah...ANYWAY. Back the PV. There are some very nice Koide closeups (as always) and nice Shiori ones. Horinouchi's glasses...I want them. I don't want to take a screencap of Yuasa...his hair is long in this one, it's scary. I'm scared.

+ I've said all I need to say. Oh wait. No I haven't. The song is absolutely amazing after I've listened to it 145 times in a row and memorized it. The PV has a very surreal feel to it, doesn't it? I won't give the link yet because it's so incomplete. I can't make all the codes and links yet because I have things to study for, but in a frenzy tonight, I made several layouts in one sitting. =_=''

But it's low quality because I ripped it off the site; sadly, I am not in Japan so I can't rip the PV off the TV in high quality. I so would if I could :D But alas, no.

+ Isn't the cover adorable? I love the little character they use now. The song, as I said, is in the worst quality you could ever get (it warbles a little, and the intro sounds are louder than the song itself) but hey, it's the song. Enjoy. I love the lines

Now, about the new single. I listened to the samples for the other songs and this is what I have to say:
1. ドラマシック - I think it's amazing, of course. Not quite as remarkable as Electric Summer or Stand By Me, which were REALLY amazing, but it's still good. It's something that you'll listen to every once in a while and sing to. (Of course, I'm on a mission to memorize it soon, but with APs, I doubt I'll translate it until the end of May.) The one good thing that Sekine-fans might be glad about is the prominent sound of the bass at the beginning and pretty much throughout the song. Lately the bass has been overpowered by the guitar, but now...yes...it's so good...yay for bass!
2. Ican'treadthekanjithereforeIfailatlife (something 明２６時) - It's a slow song. I tend to not like BBB's slow songs as much (I don't really listen to Girl Of Arms for that reason) but it's okay. I cannot say anything really bad about BBB songs. I'm so damned biased...
3. 夕方ジェネレーション[新しい夕方ver.] - The clip doesn't really indicate much about the song, but Koide sounds a lot more mature compared to the original version. Oh, secret links. Hint...hint....

And I'll have the scans up sometime tomorrow. It's not complete, my friend forgot to scan the pages where they are all jumping (except for Koide).
I said I would sleep at 11:30 but then I found the PV, darn! Oh well.
And Yuasa's birthday passed on April 16 =_='' I'm a bad child for not knowing that.
He's 23, he says so on BBB's Base Ball Variety, 3 episode.

I should actually be doing homework, considering that I stayed at a concert on a Monday night until 11:00 pm. I'm posting this at 3:20 am...uh oh, bad sign. I haven't finished any homework yet. I'm a horrible student.New Base Ball Bear Variety up, I couldn't resist uploading it. No screencaps, but it's the funniest one yet. I laughed as I outlined my chapters. I plan to put up screencaps when I get back from school. :D

It's called the miracle of getting 6 hours of sleep instead of 2 hours. Actually, I'm more tired than before, but whatever. I'm going to be early regardless of homework.

I know that I'm very obsessed with Base Ball Bear to the point of death, but right now I'm really excited because I'm going to my first live concert on April 30th! I'm running on some sort of sugar/emotional high, so I'm staying up and posting stuff. I suppose this is old stuff, but I don't think I posted it here, just uploaded it to MediaFire and never really shared it anywhere. I have older PVs (not the best quality, but whatever) that I'll upload the next time I have another one of these moments of ecstasy. REGINA SPEKTOR ON APRIL 30th IN SAN FRANCISCO AT THE WARFIELD. PLEASE TELL ME I'M NOT DREAMING. :D I've got my tickets! I wonder how my elation regarding Regina Spektor is related to my Base Ball Bear post, but oh well. Don't question my actions. I also need to organize the tags for my posts since they stopped making sense. Hmm. And the title of this post has nothing to do with neither Regina nor BBB; the only thing I can say is TROGDOR!

...This is probably the biggest post I'll ever do; it's two PVs, one live performance, and an entire album. *sweatdrop* Maybe one day I'll outdo this post, but I doubt I'll ever be on an emotional high of this extent, unless I actually get concert tickets for BBB, in which case I might...just...die of pure bliss.
Oh, and as for where I get my stuff...Well, I download it from jpopsuki. They are from various sources (I'm too tired to check who uploaded them), but a lot of the torrents are dead now, so I've been uploading them as direct downloads lately. It's hard to get unless you were actually one of the first to get it when it came out. I'm still trying to get their GIRLFRIEND PV, and I doubt I'll ever get it. Nobody has seeded that torrent since it came out more than a year ago...I've spent the last year trying to download it (even back when I still had dial-up...)

+ Can I just say...This is the best PV ever. (Look at their poses! It never fails to make me fangirl; and yes, I use the word FANGIRL as a verb.) I abused my iPod by listening to this song countless times when it came out. At that time I couldn't rip the mp3 out of the PV yet, so before the single came out, I watched the PV too many times. Some people say it's kind of weird (and the meaning of the gorilla is still a mystery to me), but you've got to admit...the whole thing is awesome beyond words. + If you've seen earlier Base Ball PVs that precede this one, you should notice that the opening scenes are clips of the settings of the earlier PVs. I love that bit. Although I love the song, the opening, the camera angles, and the overall energy of the video itself, I feel like it lacked anything that would make it stand out the way STAND BY ME did. Despite that, it's still beautiful to watch and listen to. The mp3 is at the end of the post.

+ Oh oh oh! SPARKLY! This has the lyrics right on the performance...I had copied it down somewhere, so I'll post the lyrics to it next time...whenever that is...ahem. Anyway, this clip was from MELODIX, one of the many Japanese music shows. I have the entire episode, which features a bunch of other artists playing with the Wii, doing karaoke, playing basketball, and other fun stuff, but the file is too big for MediaFire, so I'm uploading only the part that featured Base Ball Bear (of course). Sadly, it was ONLY a live performance; no interviews or fun activities with the hosts. The beginning comments are just poking fun at the name of the band. One thing about the live performance is that they left out that special effect done right before the guitar solo, which is the the echoing and speeding up of Koide's voice. But they didn't leave out the clapping part! Just clap along! ;]

+ There is an interesting story behind the symbol on the cover. I might have mentioned this before (probably a lot), but the symbol had been used on all of BBB's releases prior to their major debut (except for YUUGATA GENERATION and B BEGINNING), and they has discontinued its use after the release of STAND BY ME. The triangle with the zig-zag through represents TOKYO TOWER. The dicontinuation of the symbol represents the change in the band; I'm still researching why Tokyo Tower is so significant to the band. I have a suspicion that they decided to become a band there (but this is just a guess, okay?) or it's just something that they all like. Similarly, the band is called BASE BALL BEAR because the band members all liked a song by a certain singer (uhh, I don't remember her name, but I know it was a girl) that had the word BASE BALL in it, and the word BEAR is just a random choice by the members. If you download only a few songs out of this album, go to MATSURI NO ATO, STAND BY ME, and ELECTRIC SUMMER, which are probably some of their more well known songs. The album had been made with the concept of "DEATH AND LOVE" (hence, the title of one of the songs). I'm going to put up the scans of the article where they discuss this in the near future. I actually own the magazine, but my friend bought a copy also at a cheaper price, so another friend will abuse that copy and scan it while I keep mine in mint condition. Whoa. I typed too much.

And with that, I end my spazzing post! I should do homework now. I bet prom ended by now. The end. Next update shall be when I feel like it. There's no telling when I'll go on again. Who cares if I have that stupid standardized testing all next week? :D

I was bored.
This is just here because I want to send it to my friend, I finally figured out how to rip from PVs, and I'm too impatient to wait until April 4th for the single release. :D
Not much to say. I said all I wanted to say about the song (and especially the PV) in my previous post.

I heard a preview of the "new" version and it sounded fantastic. It's got the cool echo-y thing (You know, the wah-wah-wah...oh whatever. I like that stuff.) going on with a techno-ish beat. It's like the electronica version :) Besides, I love the original and I'm glad their remaking it. Whee~

And soon after (barely a month!) another single called ドラマチック (Dramatic) will be released, with the into song for the anime series 大きく振りかぶって (Ookiku Furikabutte). (I have no idea what this anime is, but I must start downloading it.)

Spring break has started.
With the upcoming release of two BBB singles in month and a half, I'm planning to beg my mother to let me order them AND their album C.

This is getting out of hand, but I love them so much~
I still have to use the money from the job I HOPE I got to pay back my mom and treat a couple of friends to food.
So HA I am supporting the band. I don't completely freeload. I want them to continue making more music for me to waste money on~

Long post with lots of screencaps and a download. Beware, dial-up. :)

My internet has been kind of weird for the past few days (but that doesn't mean I haven't been using my computer). I've been watching ごくせん2, でました！パフパフガールズ, and some Avatar a friend lent to me. I swore I wouldn't watch anything, but I gave in.

But alas! I finally got Firefox working and I saw somebody had uploaded Base Ball Bear's new PV on jpopsuki! Credits to doobie for uploading :) If I can, I'll upload all the BaseBallBear PVs I have. I'll probably do a big PV post during spring break.

~~And just a note, I'll be changing whatever I've uploaded from MediaFire to DivShare, because it seems like this whole week MediaFire has been going under a lot of upgrades and it's pissing me off.~~ Now I'm planning to perhaps use DivShare as a mirror. MediaFire is faster to upload to and at the moment, they aren't updating. I hope they stop doing all these random updates at the times I want to download/upload. If anyone can find a better site to upload to that's free and doesn't have limits like YouSendIt, SendSpace, or Megaupload, please tell me. The only ones I know about are MediaFire and DivShare (and something-Share...). Does Gigasize have no time limit too? I wonder.

The song itself has a nice opening, and it's a bit like Electric Summer with the repitition of "Dakishimetai~". But the muted vocals makes it so cool. Waah. I'm a bit biased with this song because my love for BBB is similar to my undying love to Ellegarden. I cannot hate them at all....<3

小出祐介（こいでゆうすけ) - Koide Yusuke, the vocalist and guitarist. Expect lots of pictures of him, he's my favorite. His hairstyle has changed since the STAND BY ME PV, because now it's turning into that pretty-boy hairstyle. :D I liked his old hairstyle too. It was a bit old-fashioned but he looks good in anything.

関根史織（せきねしおり) - Sekine Shiori, the only girl in the band. She's the bassist and she also does some background vocals. And yeah....She was in an indie movie where BBB contributed a song to - Linda Linda Linda; I haven't watched the whole thing yet because the file I downloaded had subtitles that wouldn't work. I like her, and she seems to have a sort of deep voice when she's talking normally but a high voice when she sings.

堀之内大介（ほりのうちだいすけ) - Horinouchi Daisuke, the drummer. He's insane and hyper. (It doesn't seem like it but if you watch a couple of clips of them candidly he does all the talking.) I want the shirt he's wearing right here because it says random stuff like WHOOSSHH and CHARRRGE XD

湯浅将平（ゆあさしょうへい) - Yuasa Shouhei, the other guitarist. He used to have the UGLIEST HAIR, because he had it really long and it didn't suit him at all. Now he cut it short and he looks much better. There was a small variety show the band had and on it, a girl had to choose between Horinouchi and Yuasa for a date. She chose Yuasa because he's "quiet and thoughtful". (Horinouchi responded to this by jumping up and down and yelling, "Thoughtful?! He didn't even do anything at all!) He really is quiet but he always does a funky psycho dance during guitar solos in the PVs. (This is not the best screenshot, but the images of the band at the beginning of the PV were played really quickly.)
And sadly, he does not do a funky dance in this PV. Darn.

Worst screenshot ever taken, but oh well. Koide-san in a running pose away from a mannequin. Ahh, White Lady! (A reference to a Filipino myth.) I want a Koide mannequin. :) He looks freaked out in the part.

One of many Koide screencaps I will continue to put up. :D I like the use of colors behind each band members, yup yup. the one thing I didn't like about the PV was the little jerky movements when showing the whole band. I mean, it matched the music, but it made it hard to take screencaps.

And Horinouchi's shirt is displayed! The third line says ROARRRR :D I want it even more!

(Okay, he wasn't saying that. But when Koide sings, he looks like he's winking. I don't know how to describe it. He does this when the vocals are especially strong.)

<<*makes a Nodame smoochy face when I see this image* Did I mention I want to be that mannequin RIGHT NOW? I noticed that Koide is always wearing ties. He wears formal clothes a lot but doesn't look very formal. I suppose he a bit classy like that, right? He's hot. :) Because guys always look good in suits. Even Wilson Li said so. The middle part is filled with images of Koide singing alone and him with the mannequin that were cross-cut. Wahhh >_< (Wow, vocab from my Film as Lit class came in handy for once.)

I'm starting to get tired of uploading the screencaps. I took a lot, you know. BSPlayer is just asking to be abused, making it so easy to take screencaps. Anyway, I just want to say that the ending of the song is a bit abrupt. Not as bad as the sudden ending of 高架線(Koukasen) for Ellegarden, but still. They pretty much just close it off with a (very good) little guitar bit and walk off the set.

These are my favorite kind of endings, where they show other people filming the PV (like in Space Sonic by Ellegarden, where all the film crew were wearing pink dresses just like the band, and こんなに近くで/Konna ni Chikaku De by Crystal Kay, where Crystal herself was showing as if she was filming her own PV) because it makes it interesting. There should have been more of a story behind the PV besides naked mannequins and such. Story PVs are superior, but not exactly to any Ellegarden or BBB work.

I'm 80% positive that I'm going to Japan during the summer, wooot!
I also got a job as a TA for a summer program, but I haven't told them that I will be in Japan during the program for about a week and a half.
I hope I can see at least one of the bands I like over there...gotta go stalk their official websites now instead of doing PreCal... I would love to see either Base Ball Bear or Ellegarden. It's probably impossible for me to see Ellegarden because they're on tour and sold out. くそ。
Prom is coming up. I want to ask him.

Ellegarden Time

I totally should be crying in a corner right now. I failed my Chem test miserably.
That's besides the point.

I've decided to upload A WHOLE (mini)ALBUM!

It's time to share the story of how I became so obsessed with Ellegarden!
(A mental note to myself, I shall make a layout for this blog/mp3rotation when I have time.)

Wayy back in 2004, I was a high school freshman. It wasn't that long ago, but it's not that recent either, right? I remember the (now-dead) mp3 rotation by a girl named Karen...The rotation was called "Alternative". The first time I went there she had uploaded the mini-album of Ellegarden entitled "My Own Destruction". I was such a wannabe back then, so I downloaded all the songs into my mom's work computer.

And I became obsessed. Simple as that. I guess I'll also upload my favorite Ellegarden song, Raindrops. If you decide to download only one song out of these, at least download Raindrops. Make me happy.

Comments about the songs:
1. Like any Ellegarden song, it's loud and fun. It sounds like a song to an ex-girlfriend, but that's just what I think. I love the part of the song where Takeshi says "I was just a kid to believe / whatever you promised to me then". So it's more of a song about maturing, but whatever. I could go deeper into it, but not now.

2. Remember the song "Stacy's Mom"? Well, this song is a bit similar; it's about a younger man with an older woman. Yet another complex relationship. It's really funny though. Takeshi's Engrish comes out at "My friends, thanks for your anxiety". To me, it sounds like he's talking about eggs. (But let's not go there.)

3. This was the ending song to I'll/CKBC, one of the many animes about basketball. I never watched the anime itself, but eh. This has got to be one of the really deep song by Ellegarden. I mean, it asks "What's the future of the planet and the meaning of life?"

4. Most of the songs on this album seem to be about really complex relationships... The weirdest line in this song is "wash yourself dick" which comes at the end of the chorus. It took me a long time to figure that out.

5. This is the song in the album that has the title of the album in the actual lyrics. A song of regret, not much to say about it. This is a great example of how Takeshi does NOT butcher the English language. He could pass off as a regular English singer with this song, except for the weird way he says "fuck". Oh, and he gets a bit repetitive with the "Oh, Jamie" part. Just a warning.

6. This is a bit slower than the rest of the songs, but just as loud. It has a sadder feel to it, and rightly so, because it's a song about regret.

Raindrops. OH MY LORD. I love this song to no end. I wish I could type out the lyrics just because I love this song that much, but my post is already too long. But the best part is "You're right I'm no good / You're no angel too". If I were to rate this, I would give it infinity on at 1 to 10 scale.

Next Update: Oh dang, I am such a liar. I swear I'll stay away from the computer for 3 days. I predict the next update shall be this Friday, March 23rd. Honestly.

Oh dear. Life is stupid, and with the new semester, I did not post any music. For shame! It appears that MediaFire is down at the moment, so I shall upload the next mp3 to MegaUpload, the evilest file sharing site of them all. (Yes, the downloading limit of MU makes me want to cry sometimes.) Uploaded to MediaFire. :D

I guess I should give a better effort to uploading to this little, pathetic, weak, young rotation site. I wish I could. I solemnly vow to reduce my drama-watching time to only 1 hour a day and my homework tom 6 hours. (Not that I'd get anything done, but that's besides the point.)

It's almost midnight, and I shall get on with the music.

2. TRAIN

From Straightener's most recent album LINEAR, I bring you...TRAIN. It's a really good song, honestly. I started listening to Straightener when I found the whole Straightener-AKFG-ELLEGARDEN relationship. (Want to know about it? I'll talk about it some other day.) I vowed that I would dedicate myself to these three bands. If AKFG has the real Japan Rock sound, and Ellegarden's got the English Punk Rock sound, I don't know what Straightener has. Sometimes you can't make out Horie Atsushi's vocals (even if you know Japanese, honestly) but it sounds so good. If you see their performance of TRAIN on Music Station (where I first heard the song)....it's amazing. I like what they did with the camera.

In fact, I have some screencaps of the performance. I only took a few because...I like Horie-san. You should watch this episode. Perhaps if I can upload it to a nice file-sharing site, I shall share the love. It has いきものがかり (Ikimono-Gakari), NEWS, and a couple of other random people I forgot.

Woo, it's STRAIGHTENER. Hello! They had the coolest hair among all the guests. Haha. They also ended up looking pissed off half of the show. I dunno why. It's probably to maintain the rock image around those darn NEWS pretty boys.

I found the more recent version of Fuyu No Sora and loved the stronger guitar at the beginning. A little loud, but fantastic. :D

I've got a video project due tomorrow that I spent most of my winter vacation doing. So what better way to celebrate a lost vacation than to upload a song called "Winter Sky"?

I don't know that much about the artist, because I downloaded this from a J-rock sampler (credits to j1m0ne) at jpopsuki. Unfortunately, the torrent is dead. It took me a total of 5 months to download that entire torrent, even though it's only 18 songs (114mb) on DSL. Not that many people seeded it...

2. Fuyu No Sora

I plan on downloading more of their stuff now...But for now, I should continue with my homework.

Ahh, the wonders of blogging.
I've decided to temporarily post my music uploads here until I get to coding my FreeWeb site.
Since I just made this blog today, and it's still the type with the website-provided template and a rushed name, I'll post a good song.

It's hard to find any BaseBallBear on the internet (unless you use jpopsuki), so I've uploaded one song from them. I don't have the time to put up the whole album yet, but maybe I will if anyone asks.

So enjoy. :)
I highly enjoy this song (like any other song by BaseBallBear), so if I were to rate it, I'd give it a 10/10. The best part is the clapping part at about 2 minutes through the song.
